Collaborative Video Editing Permissions for other existing account
G
Guillaume GUY
Allow users to grant specific Submagic users permission to edit their videos or an entire workspace/folder, using their own Submagic account.
Currently, users can share a video via a viewing link, allowing others to watch and download the final video. However, the recipient cannot make edits if a small change is needed.
The new permission system should work similarly to Google Docs/Google Drive sharing: the owner can invite a specific user by their Submagic account/email address and assign them editing access.
Requirements
- Allow a video owner to invite a specific Submagic user as an Editor.
- Allow permissions to be granted either:
(1) On an individual video.
(2) On a specific folder/workspace, giving access to all videos within it.
- The invited user must use their own Submagic account.
- Editors should be able to open and modify the shared video directly in Submagic.
- The owner should be able to revoke or change the user's permissions at any time.
- The video should remain owned by the original user, even when another user edits it.
